Reference point is top of the racer’s head

SLALOM SKIS

Female/Male: min 130 cm

GIANT SLALOM SKIS

Female/Male: max 195 cm

U18 – U21 – Sr. – Masters

Reference point is top of the racer’s head

SLALOM SKIS

Female:        Min 155 cm Length -USSA-FIS    

Male:            Min 165 cm Length-USSA-FIS (min155cm for U18 men)

GIANT SLALOM SKIS

U18 Female:         Min 175 cm Length  

U21-Female:FIS    Min 183 cm

U18 Male:         Min 180 cm Length  

U21-Male:FIS    Min 190 cm

 

14 YEARS AND YOUNGER

U10-U12-U14

Reference point is top of the racer’s head

SLALOM jr. SKIS

Boys & Girls        Minus 10cm (4in) to Minus 20cm (8in)   maximum weight 135lbs

GIANT jr. SLALOM SKIS

Boys & Girls        Minus 5cm (2in) to Plus 5cm (2in)   maximum weight 135lbs

MULTI-EVENT SKIS

Boys & Girls         0cm  to Minus 15cm (6in)   maximum weight 135lbs

 

DEVO / HOPEFULS

Please remember that these are only GUIDELINES.

You must take into account some of the following guidelines when sizing a racer.

1) FIS Rules  (see FIS rules if racing in FIS sanctioned races)

2) Height to Weight Ratio

3) Racer’s ability level

4) Trying to get multiple years racing on the same ski

5) Coach or Club program’s  philosophy on sizing
